ECCLA Executive Director Update

Dear ECCLA Members and Stakeholders:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA), we would like to share that we are continuing to search for a new ECCLA Executive Director and will be reposting the position within the next few days. Although some excellent candidates have applied for this position, we have not yet found the individual that is the best fit for the ECCLA organization now and into the future.

ECCLA continues its important work and has accomplished much over the past few months including securing new grant funded programs and expanding current programs. ECCLA’s amazing staff is working daily to ensure member needs are being met, delivering strong programs, participating in policy actions, and leading councils to participate with state initiatives like the Preschool Development Grant and Census Outreach. The ECCLA Board is extremely proud of their hard work and excited to see where these community efforts lead.

Moving forward, the ECCLA Board will continue its search for the ECCLA Executive Director and would appreciate help from the early childhood community to share the job posting as widely as possible. During this transition, Jennifer Sanchez-McDonald has agreed to continue serving as the Interim Executive Director to support the ECCLA staff, ECCLA Board of Directors and community partners. The new officers for ECCLA in FY19-20 are Stacy Petty, President; Maegan Lokteff, Vice-President; Betsy Overton, Secretary; and Danielle Butler, Treasurer.

We will do our best to keep everyone informed of our progress in the search for a new ECCLA Executive Director. If there are any questions or concerns about this transition and/or search process, don’t hesitate to contact Stacy Petty, ECCLA Board President, at 719-486-7273 or rmecc@mtnvalley.org.

Sincerely,

Stacy Petty, President
On behalf of the ECCLA Board of Directors
