New Report Highlights History and Impact of Early Childhood Councils

Boots on the Ground: Advancing the Shared Vision for Colorado’s Children is a new report that brings the systems building work of Early Childhood Councils to life.

The history, work, and impact of Colorado’s Early Childhood Councils are not well understood by most people and policymakers outside of early childhood. The report documents over two decades of progress on behalf of Colorado’s youngest children and their families, which has been driven by Councils at the local level.

The report is organized into six sections and case studies that examine the role of Colorado’s 34 Early Childhood Councils, their history, and the progress made toward advancing our shared vision that all children in our state are healthy, valued, and thriving.
