TEACH Impact Story: Cheryl

“It is with a grateful heart that I write about the meaning of the TEACH scholarship program to me. My appreciation of this program is two fold. Personally, I have been awarded the TEACH scholarship over many years. I cannot even remember when the first scholarship was awarded to me. I know with the help of TEACH I achieved my Associate’s Degree in ECE . Since then I decided to move toward receiving my BA in ECE. at the age of 56! I could not be doing this without the help of the TEACH scholarship program. It has eliminated so much stress in my life when I don’t have to worry about the finances. And to have TEACH pay for my books and some travel was amazing.

The other part of this was that I own a program in which TEACH supports our teachers to continue their education which in turns benefits the children in our care! We have at least 2-3 teachers who are supported by TEACH to complete their AA and 1 teacher working toward their BA in ECE. These teachers look forward to the bonuses that TEACH provides along with the bonus that my program provides through our contract! Our teachers furthering their education benefits the children in our classrooms. Thank you so much for all the opportunities TEACH provides Early Childhood Educators. It has inspired many teachers to go to school.”
