TEACH Impact Story: Melissa

​In 2016, I started attending Adams State University to complete my BA degree in Education. After my first year, I had already starting accumulating student loan debt. Even though I applied for grants, I never knew if I would be awarded enough to cover my expenses each semester.

I was thrilled and appreciative when I learned that I had been selected to receive your TEACH Early Childhood Program Scholarship. Being a part of your wonderful program has relieved my financial stress and allowed me to spend more time to focus on my studies. I love learning about early childhood development and ways to make learning fun for everyone.

In my pursuit of my educational goals, I feel that I have grown as an educator, administrator, and as a woman. I have more confidence in my abilities and knowledge. Thank you again for giving me the financial freedom to pursue my goals.
