Rick Winter joined ECCLA in March 2016 as Director of Data, Evaluation, and Member Support. His responsibilities include data quality assurance, aggregate reporting, and analysis to inform Councils and ECCLA in decision making around public policy and program.
Rick has over 20+ years of international education administration and teaching, curriculum design, data analysis and programming, business development, and writing achievements. Before joining ECCLA, he was a Curriculum Specialist for the Peace Corps in the Department of Education in Micronesia. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Rick is passionate about early childhood learning, helping early learning professionals, increasing access to comprehensive health care and mental health services, and providing families with meaningful community and parenting supports.
He is a native of Colorado and has traveled extensively through many countries in the world. As an education advocate, he has served as a middle and high school teacher, elementary school principal, head principal in China, volunteer in schools in India, Board of Education member in Clear Creek County. He is a proud parent to two grown children.
